botanical inkflow pattern

An all-over botanical pattern built from layered leaf and stem silhouettes in indigo-to-blue-black on a soft lavender-grey ground. It reads like watercolor, but the texture comes from alcohol-ink marbling clipped into a hand-drawn black-marker motif, giving the foliage soft blooms and inky depth with pockets of negative space.

I drew the botanical in solid black marker, created a separate alcohol-ink sheet, then masked the marker artwork to the ink texture in Photoshop and developed a seamless repeat.
